TRIP LOCATION
ITINERARY
Namaste, we warmly welcome you to India. At the airport in Delhi, one of our staff will meet you and take you to your hotel, where you can check in in peace and quiet. After checking in you have the time to recover.
The first item on the trip is a city tour of the old part of Delhi right after breakfast. Here you can immerse yourself in the old town from the 7th century, which was built by the conqueror Shahjahan, who had his seat in Agra until then, as a new seat. You will visit the largest mosque of India Jama Mosque. One can have a direct view of the vibrant basal Chandni Chowk right next door. The next stop is the monument of Mahatma Gandhi, Raj Ghat. In the afternoon you enter New Delhi. You will visit the India Gate, Government District, Qutub Minar and Gurudwara Bangla Sahib. Overnight in Delhi.
After breakfast drive to Agra. The highlight of any trip to northern India awaits you today: a visit to the Taj Mahal, a wonder of the world and a monument to a great love that Shahjahan built for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. Afterwards visit the Fort Agra. Fort of Agra was once the seat and stronghold of the Mughal Empire over several generations. An imposing structure with its red sandstone walls. In the evening you will visit a professional operetta performance in which the whole story of the most beautiful love story of the Taj Mahal will be presented playfully and musically. Overnight in Agra.
On your way to Jaipur, explore the abandoned ruined city of Fatehpur Sikri. The red sandstone houses of the ruler family are still well preserved. After the sightseeing drive to Jaipur, the pink city. The pink color symbolizes hospitality in the Rajput culture, which is why, for the visit of Prince Albert in the 19th century, the houses were painted in this color. Jaipur was founded by Maharaja Jai Singh ll (1699-1744), who even came up with the name. In the afternoon you will experience on a rickshaw pulsating turmoil, colorful and loud, very original life from the region. Let yourself be inspired by the exotic turbans of the men of Rajasthan and the cheerful colors of the saris, which show the local women proudly. End the day with a detour to Fort Nahargarh, located 6.5 km from Jaipur on a ridge. You will never forget the incomparable view that you have at sunset from the 1734 built fort. Overnight in Jaipur.
After having breakfast, climb the famous Fort of Amber, located on a steep mountain, with a choice of Elephant or Jeep. The fort was until the founding of Jaipur the capital of the Raiputen Empire. After the fort, visit the world's largest stone observatory, Jantar Mantar, and in the afternoon, the magnificent city palace, which is still inhabited by descendants of the royal family. Afterwards there is a photo stop at the Hawa Mahal, "Palace of the Winds". Overnight in Jaipur.
Today you say goodbye to India. In the morning you drive from Jaipur to Delhi. Upon arrival in Delhi you will check in at the hotel. In the afternoon you have free time. After dinner at the hotel you will drive to the airport to start your return flight. If you are interested in a suitable connection program or on a bathing day in Goa, we can put together a suitable offer for you: just ask us.
