ITINERARY

Our airport representative will be waiting for you holding a placard with your name at the international airport. Upon arrival, you will be greeted and assisted by our airport representative, who will then transfer you to the hotel and help you with the check-in procedure.

Pashupatinath Temple: Pashupatinath Temple is one of the most sacred religious places with historical importance. It is the greatest site dedicated to Lord Shiva. Located about 5 km northeast of Kathmandu Valley on the banks of the Bagmati River, the temple complex is on UNESCO’s World Heritage list. Each year, thousands of devotees, general visitors, and tourists from around the world visit the shrine for worship, research, or to learn about its rich history and construction.

Boudhanath Stupa: Also known as Boudha, this stupa in Kathmandu is semicircular and contains relics and remains of Buddha. The stupa’s massive mandala makes it one of the largest spherical stupas in the world. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1979, Boudha Stupa dates back to 600 AD and was built by a Tibetan king. It is a significant pilgrimage site for Buddhists worldwide, constructed using gold for decoration. The giant Boudhanath stupa serves as a symbolic gateway to heaven, marking the horizon between earth and sky.

Patan Durbar Square: Patan is the oldest of the three cities in Kathmandu Valley. Patan Durbar Square is situated at the center of Lalitpur in Nepal. One of its main attractions is the ancient royal palace where the Malla Kings of Lalitpur resided. The city is surrounded by four stupas, one at each corner, said to be built by Emperor Ashoka. Many structures date back to the 1600s, constructed during the reign of the Malla kings, particularly King Siddhi Narsingh Malla and his son Srinivasa Sukriti. Major sites in Patan include the Patan Museum, Krishna Temple, Rato Machhindranath, Bhimsen Temple, Ashoka Stupa, Banglamukhi Temple, and various other temples.

Pokhara is a remarkable place of natural beauty situated at an altitude of 827 meters above sea level and 200 km west of Kathmandu Valley. The city is known as a center of adventure and is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Nepal, noted for its tranquil atmosphere and the beauty of the surrounding countryside. It serves as a base for trekkers undertaking the Annapurna Circuit. The enchanting city has several beautiful lakes and offers stunning panoramic views of Himalayan peaks. The serene lakes and the magnificence of the Himalayas rising behind them create an ambiance of peace and magic. In the evening, enjoy a free lakeside walk or a one-hour boat ride on Fewa Lake.

Bindabasini Temple: The Bindabasini Temple is located near Bagar, in Pokhara, Nepal. Legend relates this temple to the famous temple of Bindhyabasini in Bindhyachal, Uttar Pradesh, India. It is believed that King Siddhi Narayan Shah of Kaski brought the deity to Pokhara before Nepal’s unification. Another Bindabasini Temple is located in Birgunj, Nepal, which is believed to be connected with the temple in Pokhara. Goddess Bindabasini, sister of Goddess Durga, is worshipped here.

Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave: This is probably the longest and most attractive cave in South Asia, located in the pristine north-western part of Pokhara, a world-famous tourist destination in Gandaki Zone and Kaski District. Ancestors called this place desolate Khatri Tara.

Devi's Fall: Locally known as Patale Chhango (Hell's Fall), Devi's Fall (also known as Devin's or David's Fall) is an impressive waterfall lying about 2 km south-west of Pokhara Airport on the highway to Tansen. An interesting modern legend says that a foreigner named David was skinny dipping in the Pardi Khola (river) when the floodgates of the dam were opened, sweeping him into an underground passage beneath the fall, never to be seen again.

World Peace Stupa: The World Peace Stupa (Shanti Stupa shrine) was built as a symbol of peace. Situated at a height of 1,100 meters on Anadu Hill, Nichidatsu Fuji laid the foundation stone along with relics of the Buddha on 12 September 1973. From the stupa, we can enjoy a fascinating view of Fewa Lake, the mountain range, and the Pokhara Valley. We can have the thrilling experience of cycling and trekking on the way to the stupa.

Today, the trekking/hiking starts officially. We start the day with an early breakfast and drive along the Baglung Highway towards Nayapul-Birethanti. It takes around 2 hours to reach Birethanti from Pokhara. From Birethanti, the walking journey begins to reach Ulleri, passing the villages of Hile and Tikhedhunga.

During the journey, you will encounter various tea houses, green hills, a 3,200-step staircase, and a suspension bridge. Almost ninety percent of the track is covered via the Modi Khola (River) side-way. This day won't be too difficult as it involves walking along the river-side track and vertical stone steps. It will take around 4 to 5 hours to reach Ulleri from Birethanti.

You will enjoy your journey from the start. Stay overnight at the local tea house.

Today we start our journey after breakfast. We will pass through lush green forests and encounter different rhododendrons blooming along the trail. The trail will be quiet, and throughout the journey, you will play hide and seek with the sun. There are high chances of seeing rare plants and animals as we spend most of the time passing through trees and small clusters of settlements.

At some points, you will be able to observe different snow-capped mountains, making the trek more exciting and alluring. After around 6 hours of walking, we will reach Lower Ghorepani. We then walk for a further 10 to 15 minutes to reach Upper Ghorepani and settle for the night. This is done to reduce the next day's walk towards Poonhill Viewpoint.

Stay overnight at the local tea house.

Today is the main day of our trek, so we will start our journey early in the morning and hike for about 45 to 60 minutes to reach Poon Hill Viewpoint. You will witness the rising sun illuminating the mountains, giving them a golden hue and offering a breathtaking panoramic view of the landscape. From here, you can see various mountains including Dhaulagiri I, Annapurna I, Fishtail Mountain (Machhapuchhre), Nilgiri, Dhampus Peak, and more.

At an altitude of 3210 meters (Poon Hill), you'll experience the awe-inspiring beauty of the Himalayas. After spending some time exploring the natural beauty, we will return to Ghorepani for breakfast at the hotel before continuing our journey to Tadapani.

Throughout the trek, we will walk through dense forests of bamboo, spruce, and oak. Along the way, we will stop at Deurali for lunch before continuing our journey. With various uphill and downhill sections, we will reach Tadapani.

Stay overnight at the Local Tea House.

From Tadapani, most of the trail will be downhill. So, after having breakfast at Tadapani Hotel, we will start to descend through the subtropical forest with towering bamboo groves and majestic rhododendron plants. The melodious sounds of birds and the flowing rivers will provide a refreshing and peaceful ambiance.

Ghandruk is the final destination for the day. Known for its large Gurung community, Ghandruk also houses a Gurung cultural museum.

From Ghandruk, we will drive to Pokhara by Jeep, which will take around 2-3 hours to reach.

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, we will transfer to Bhaktapur. In the afternoon, we will embark on a sightseeing tour of Bhaktapur City.

Bhaktapur, located 15 km from Kathmandu, is often referred to as a museum of medieval art and architecture. It boasts numerous examples of sculpture, woodcarving, and grand pagoda temples dedicated to various deities. The city is a blend of pagoda and Shikhar-style temples, clustered around a fifty-five-window palace made of brick and wood. The square is renowned for its charming architectural marvels, showcasing the ancient arts of Nepal. From the golden effigies of kings atop stone monoliths to the guardian deities adorning sanctuaries, every detail, including intricate wood carvings on struts, lintels, and gateways, contributes to a harmonious ensemble. Pottery and weaving are among its prominent traditional industries.
